Wanna Hurts Donut?


No, this isn't some trick your older sibling plays on you. This is a donut chain that serves up creative, one-of-a-kind pastries that I cannot get enough of!

Walking into Hurts is like walking into a child's sugar wonderland. The walls are brightly colored and the little shop is decorated with an odd assortment of decor. But your eyes automatically gravitate to the glass case filled with dozens and dozens of donuts.

You have your choice of s'mores, nutella, Andes mint, Oreo, German chocolate, animal cracker... I could sit here naming donuts for days. There are also those that have fun quirky names, like the monkey brain (don't ask me what flavor that is, I just know it is tasty), the Jesús (cinnamon drizzled with dulce de leche), and the Homer (plain donut with pink frosting and sprinkles). These sugary confections may cost a pretty penny in comparison to your "big chain" shops, but there is a wide variety of phenomenal flavors. You have to get a dozen, at least once; you really can't go wrong. Go, go get the donut of your dreams.

I Tried Dessert Hummus So You Don't Have to

I'm sure we've all seen a number of increasingly strange hummus flavors surfacing in the supermarket. One of which being sweet flavors, like brownie batter. When I first heard this, I was completely appalled. Chickpeas? With chocolate? Disgusting! Why Red (Taylor's Version) is So Much Better

 Like so many Taylor Swift fans, I have a particular soft spot for the 2012 album Red. I remember when it came out. I was 13, and I was working on my eighth grade science fair project and had just heard "I Knew You Were Trouble" for the first time on Pandora during class. This is hardly the kind of context that would make a person fall in love with Red, an album that has become a sort of seminal heartbreak anthem. But nonetheless, I loved it. It was one of the only physical CD's I owned growing up, and I felt so cool for having a Taylor Swift album. As time went on, this became less cool. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Really is Marvelous If you haven't watched "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," what are you doing? This Prime Original is a delight to watch. Finally, a strong female lead that proves that "strong" doesn't mean physical strength or seriousness. A comedy that is smart, witty, and surprisingly relatable. A plot that is actually original. It all comes together to make a show that I can't get enough of. It is so good that I can even look past all the "four star" words that litter the sharp dialogue. But what drew me to "Mrs. Maisel," aside from Tony Shalhoub , was the the exquisite costume design. This show is a vintage girl's paradise. Midge Maisel is unapologetically fashionable. She shows up "overdressed" to every event, is always the prettiest in the room, and isn't afraid to wear heels on the subway.
