The Perfect Couple Doesn't Exi—

No one is perfect. Couples have ups and downs and little things that will never be fixed. But, there is one couple that breaks that rule. One couple that is absolutely perfect. A relationship based on love, understanding, and, most importantly, honesty. Obviously, I'm talking about Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney Todd. Here are a few tips you can learn from Broadway's best power couple.

First off, no one gets Sweeney like Mrs. Lovett does, and don't we all want someone who understands us when others would just run away? Well, Sweeney is one lucky man because when he makes the logical decision that all of mankind is evil and deserves to die, Mrs. Lovett is right by his side. If the love of your life wants to kill everyone under the front of a barbershop, then you should be right there supporting them! Don't just say, "that's great, honey." No, you need to give just as much to this relationship.

You have to be complements. So, when your SO says, "I'm murdering people because that will make the world better," think about how you can help the relationship even further. Like many young people, you're probable struggling with money. And then there's the inevitable issue of corpses piling up. And maybe you need to feel like you're contributing something, too; you want to seriously take up a craft like knitting or, better yet, baking. Mrs. Lovett is clever and caring. She solved all of these problems so simply: just bake all the bodies into pies! Then all the evidence is gone, too.

You have to protect each other in a relationship, not just hide faults but embrace them! Mrs. Lovett doesn't just take to her own folly and neither does Sweeney. They have a perfect symbiotic relationship. The two of them are more than happy to provide for each other: Sweeney the meat, Lovett the pies. And the two are happy to share their love at Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pie Restaurant. They want to share the happiness and their new outlook on life. Their love is for everyone; they serve people.

Just, a perfect couple. Even when the relationship has to end, it's not their fault, right? All through the end, their love remained hot.

Try the priest,
Christina
